About the Project

In Macau, a densely populated city with over 14% of its population aged 65+, frequent rainfall (2000 mm annually) and occasional winter frost cause slippery surfaces, leading to over 35% of elderly accidents yearly. These slips result in high costs (MOP 120,000 per hip fracture patient) and a 20% disability rate. The "Thermal Dehydration System" transforms traditional anti-slip tiles by actively removing water and melting ice, enhancing ground safety and supporting Macau’s goal to be an "aging-friendly city" through innovative infrastructure.
