MWalk is an elderly friendly walking device that is
convenient, versatile and safe for all users in different
urban scenarios.
The walker itself is made of recyclable, sturdy and
versatile materials. For our prototype, we used mostly paper
and aluminium cans.
Height adjustment: all four legs’ heights can be adjusted to
the user’s height and needs, with a simple pin system.
The braking system is controlled by batteries and
electromagnets so it doesn’t require much manual force.
Soft material wrapped around the handles and parts of the
device make it easier to grip. For our prototype, we used
clay.
The wheels are stopped by the brakes powered from the
electromagnets.
